Yangon

Rightly, Yangon is nicknamed “Garden City”. Then many parks, lakes, ponds and wonderful plantings characterize this fascinating metropolis, whose architecture is strongly influenced by the colonial period. The many temples, whose pagodas are covered with gold leaf, fascinate visitors as well as the many colorful markets, the bustling harbor or the train stations, where people can be observed everywhere in their everyday lives.

All photographs were made during a 7 days workshop with the photographer Maciej Dakovicz in Yangon in February 2018.
