A documentary on the traditional festivals and rituals in Southern Ghana
The traditional faithful Ga belong to a religious minority in Ghana. For many years Regula Tschumi has dealt with their various religious cult groups. Her personal contacts with traditional priests and priestesses allow her not only to participate regularly in the most important religious ceremonies and festivals, but also to photograph them and to document their religious life over a long period.
These pictures are part of a long-term project in which Regula Tschumi has been working for several years. The project addresses the rituals and festivals of various religious cult groups in southern Ghana.
