In addition to the famous processions of the Mysteries in Trapani, celebrations also take place in other towns and villages on different days during Holy Week in Sicily. Unique among other things are the processions of the living mysteries in Buseto Pallizzolo. There, moments of the passion, death and resurrection of Christ are staged by actors on mobile floats, which are then driven through the village in a procession. In Marsala, too, amateur actors in historical costumes re-enact the Passion of Christ on the streets of the city.
